Cosmic the Cat
It’s been too long since my last post!
Around June 10th, our wonderful cat, Cosmic, decided to leave us. This has slowed me down more than I expected. He was so playful the last evening we saw him. The next day he was nowhere to be found. We looked in all of the usual hiding places. At first we thought he was roaming around, on a little excursion. Quickly it set in that the length of his absence was abnormal, even for an independent cat like Cosmic.
Cameron adopted Cosmic from the SPCA in Richmond around 1993, so Cosmic had sixteen adventurous years. My nine years living with him were really wonderful. I had a cat growing up that I adored, too, but my connection to Cosmic was different, perhaps because I was more involved in actually taking care of him. (Thanks for taking care of Kitty, Mom!) Well, anyone reading this who has had a dear animal friend can relate, I’m sure. They are all "one of a kind", yes?
