How to Make a Smoothie
There is no wrong way to make a smoothie. The options are endless. Choose ingredients from each of the columns below, combine in a blender, and whir until smooth and creamy. Add more milk or juice if needed.
NOTE: If you use fresh or canned fruit, add ice to make it nice and cold OR freeze your fruit in advance.

frozen strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, peaches canned fresh |
milk
soy or rice milk fruit juice frozen juice concentrate (add water to dilute) fruit nectar |
2 Tbls. honey
2 Tbls. powdered sugar 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1/2 tsp. almond extract |
Strawberry-Blueberry Smoothie
1 cup lowfat vanilla yogurt
1 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup lowfat milk
2 Tbsp. honey
Combine all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth and creamy. Garnish with a fresh strawberry.
Raspberry Peach Almond Smoothie
1 cup raspberry sherbet
1 cup frozen peaches
1 cup peach nectar
1/2 tsp. almond extract
Combine all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Banana Orange Smoothie
1 banana, sliced and frozen
1/2 cup orange juice frozen concentrate
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup crushed ice
2 Tbsp. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract.
Combine all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth and creamy.
